Ten Square Games has begun the phased rollout of Medal Hunter, a new mobile PvP shooter set in a military-themed world, built around precision, pressure and split-second decisions. The game entered technical release on 4 May, opening the first stage of its path to global launch. In the coming weeks, Medal Hunter will gradually become available in selected markets ahead of planned global availability around the turn of May and June. For Ten Square Games, the project opens a new action segment and creates an opportunity to reach new groups of mobile players beyond the company’s core hobby categories.
– Medal Hunter is an example of how we are putting our growth strategy into practice. Trophy Hunter helped us build a new development model based on clear benchmarks, early validation and a better understanding of the signals that matter before scaling a product. Medal Hunter capitalizes on that experience and on the broader product knowledge we have built across our portfolio. By using proven gameplay mechanics and working in this model, we were able to bring a new title to market in less than a year from the start of development. This gives us earlier insight into a game’s potential, helps limit development risk and allows us to shape products more closely around what players actually respond to – says Andrzej Ilczuk, CEO of Ten Square Games.
The project builds directly on the gameplay model developed for Trophy Hunter, using the same core mechanics and a similar development approach. This allows Ten Square Games to move faster from prototype to market while relying on gameplay foundations already tested by the Group. Medal Hunter applies this proven model to a mobile PvP shooter inspired by historical events, creating an opportunity to reach a broader player audience and offering a new proposition for players looking for this type of competition on mobile.
A mobile PvP shooter inspired by historical events
Medal Hunter places players in the role of a soldier operating in combat environments inspired by different historical periods. Architecture, weapons and surroundings are strongly influenced by real buildings, equipment and military references, but stylized to support clear, fast mobile gameplay rather than simulation complexity. In the beginning, the game features five playable locations, each with its own visual style inspired by a specific historical period and battle.
Players compete in short PvP rounds for the highest score, eliminating two types of moving targets – aircraft and naval units. Two distinct shooting models require players to adjust the trajectory, rhythm and timing of their shots as they progress. The rules are easy to grasp, while the main challenge lies in responding to different target types and movement patterns.
Phased rollout ahead of global availability
The technical release on 4 May opens the first stage of Medal Hunter’s rollout in Mexico, Vietnam, the Philippines and Poland. This phase is designed to verify key technical KPIs and overall performance stability, while giving the team time to fine-tune and polish selected gameplay parameters. In line with the rollout plan, around mid-May Medal Hunter is expected to move into broader soft-launch, with gradual introduction in Australia, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States. At this stage, the focus will shift toward validating short-term retention and engagement. Global availability is planned at the turn of May and June, with the final timeline remaining flexible should additional improvements be needed to further strengthen product quality ahead of global launch.
The game is available on iOS and Android.
